WALL.DANCE Workshops, forthcoming Seattle / Est. 2026

Wall .

Choreography for gravity's other axis.

A note from the organizer

There isn't a wall dance scene in Seattle yet.

Wall dance is what happens when the floor stops being the floor and the wall starts being the floor.

Wall or Vertical dance started when Trisha Brown sent a man walking down the side of a SoHo loft in 1970, and perfected by Bandaloop who has been performing on cliffs and skyscrapers for thirty years.

Ever since seeing Bandaloop for the first time, I've wanted to do it, but I don't live in Oakland, but Ashland Aerial Arts occasionally offers workshops down in Ashland, OR.

I'm working with them to put together a special workshop for Seattle folks willing to caravan down to Ashland for a workshop in September.
